Some of the younger generation still can't speak Malay well although they finish their academic years in school. It is a must for a Malaysian to be able to speak in Malay.
There is a worker in my school who came all the way from Pakistan to earn a living in Malaysia. During his five years here, he can speak fluent Malay.
What a shame if Malaysian cannot speak Malay.
