Today around 3.30 in the afternoon, i walk out of the multimedia room heading to the office to take a book. While passing through a classroom, i saw a mother is scolding a colleague rudely. Another teacher is standing beside and told her to speak calmly but she keeps her tone high and loud. She's using Cantonese with some English during the "discussion". Ii told her to speak calmly and see our superior with a slightly higher tone than hers. She then talk in a lower pitch, but the discussion is not going well because everyone is on fire. This matter disturbed many teachers in school.
I'm wondering why she come to discuss with such manners. Becoming a teacher is not easy, dealing with parents in rage is already an urgently needed skills. When she left, she leave a comment to my colleague: Cikgu is only helping his colleague.
Haha, excuse me ma'am. You came into government properties and scolded government worker in very rude manner and say you come to discuss. In this situation it is lucky the security guard didn't throw you out of school. Next time before you come, drink two cups of ice water and read Chicken Soup of Souls so that you will discuss in a discussing manner. School teachers are not barbarian, a normal discussion is just enough to help you solve your problems.
Life is hard if all parents like to "discuss" like that... I don't know will i do that when i become a parent. Hehe... Will you?
