This morning, make it to Bintangor police station. Made police report about the accident with Sarjan Zul. This kind man really help me out and treat me with nice manner. After finish recording my report, the other party arrive. They accuse me of overcut their vehicle which cause the accident. A fierce looking young lady (which i think "lady" is not a good word for her) is coming to argue with me. They say they won't pay the compound and want to make it a court case. Sarjan silently told me that the case won't goes to court. It's just a simple hit from the back accident. They got compound and they have to pay the fees of the repairs. I got some important papers from the station and off we go. So, the car will go into Toyota Service Centre and and their insurance company will take care of the rest.

Stupid useless driver

Today is Chinese New Year, but not a happy one. I'm rather angry with the stupid driver who hit my car from the back. Damn she is driving a pickup trunk and her car is fine as before while my car is smashed. That stupid jerk is driving her car too close to mine. It's too close! She totally forgotten her "three seconds rule"! This kind of "on probation" driver should just have her licence hang and not driving any vehicle anymore. JERK!

Her father want to settle with RM700. He thinks that amount is enough to shut my mouth up? Mr Daddy, you should not let your hanky panky daughter go out driving your 25000 power truck with such lousy driving skills. She ends up running into other people's car and make you clean the mess!

Tomorrow is another long day going to go round police station and insurance agent. I'll remember that nonsense driver! Lucky you are not driving a plane or else you'll have it crashed somewhere at Mindanao Island.

Just back from a little discussion with my lecturer at a coffee shop. We discussed about some big projects for the coming few months. Then slowly we get astray from our topic when we reach the end of discussion and we come upon a verse which is interesting about politics. It sounds like this:

Ada udang di sebalik batu, udang lebih besar daripada batu

There is always plans and programs which seems good for the community, but behind all the good things we saw, there are bribery and self benefits. That's the "udang di sebalik batu". Then "udang lebih besar daripada batu" is talking about the benefits they get is much more than the amount spends for the "good deeds" they had done.

It's so normal in Malaysian society. What to say?

Long house burn down

Weird Restaurant

Happen to drop in this restaurant in Cheras. Located upstairs of some shop lots in Connaught. If you are there, just look high up and you’ll find the place brightly lit. I think this place is really weird and still, Homo sapiens are still rushing in and in for a dinner in a toilet environment.

Well, anything can be business in Kuala Lumpur. They creatively recondition and reuse many old household items into practical restaurant’s utility. Old ice box were lied down and cushion were placed on it to become a place to sit. Old toilet bowls were also made into chairs. Basins and BBQ tray were converted into tables. The food there is just acceptable with a reasonable price.

Be sure to visit this place if you have the chance. It’s not about the food or drinks, it’s about the experience of having your meal at this kind of place. Not the thing money can buy.

Working table

This is my new working table at home. I will spend my non-working hours working here. I had the same computer as you had seen before: CPU, keyboard, mouse, webcam, external hard disc and speaker. I applied and setup 1MB streamyx and fixed line telephone on the same table.

Working table is the place I work. If you ask me what are the works I do at home on this working table? I’ll tell you I play Counter Strike, and nothing else.

Dear friends,

In this letter, I would like to advice you all not to complaint if Mdm Liew is arranging you to prepare 3 sets of exam papers in this year. You should be glad it’s only three.

What happen to me is I have to prepare eight sets of question papers for only one exam. I have to prepare 32 sets in a year. Year 1 Science in English, Year 1 Science in Chinese, Year 4 Bahasa Melayu, Year 4 Science in English, Year 4 Science in Chinese, Year 5 Bahasa Melayu, Year 5 Science in English and lastly Year 5 Science in Chinese.

That is the reason I advice you to be satisfied with the arrangements.

coconut

My father planted 4 coconut trees outside the house at Seberang. Whenever I want to drink coconut, I’ll bring along the parang and drive my Honda to the house and pluck coconuts. The trees are only as high as me. After that I’ll squat by the road side and cut the coconut. Nothing is more enjoyable than drinking the coconut you pluck down yourself.

I am on the line again!

After some times being separated with broadband, now I’m back online. I had Streamyx 1MB fixed in my house and now I can start surfing around and chit-chatting around again.

When i plug in the modem provided by TM, it create so many troubles. It says the line were not plugged properly, should wait 3 working days before installing (though it is already the fourth day). It really piss me off so i rush out to get a D-Link modem and everything becomes smooth and sound. Throw the newly provided TM modem into the store room. Rubbish!

Today is the third day I’m in new school. I already formed a routine to follow. Everyday I wake up around 0555 hour because I sleep early each night. I had to sleep early because there is nothing to do at night, alone in a big house without internet connection. I still cannot connect to internet because TM says that there is no available port for my line yet and put me in the waiting list. After brushing teeth and do little cleaning, I make myself a cup of tea, or sometimes coffee and gulp it before heading to school around 0620 hour.

Journey to school took around 20 minutes because I usually drive slowly. It’s extremely cold using motorcycle early in the morning as the wind running through the skin surfaces. I’m all wet with my shoes filled with cupful of waters falling from the morning sky. It happened two times during these three days. I expect for more of these experiences in the coming days.

Teaching is like usual except I had much less students. I don’t have exercises to correct during free period. I write my lesson plan in the morning after I arrive in school. During recess time, we “steal” some food from the RMT so hunger is not quite a problem. My school is small, no canteen and no people to cook tasty food like Ah Xiang did.

1330 hour, when the bell rings, I’ll disappear right away. No one will able to find me in school after 1331 hour. In Sarawak, we had 11 periods each day. That’s why we are late 30 minutes to go back because we had addition one period each day. I had lunch back in town and go back home for a change. I head for HQ after changing and stayed till after office hour.

After dinner, I stay at home playing my computer, watching the same movies I had in the hard disc over and over. I had a pair of walkie talkie to chit chat with my friend not far from my house. Sometimes I sing like a crazy man at home. Nothing much to do, so sleep early.

After wake up I’ll have another round of the same routine.

看扁我吗？

有个人说他打从心底看扁我，看不起我。看扁我吗？我并不介意。我对某些事很执着，很有自信，很认真，很有毅力就是因为有人看扁我，看不起我。我不必解释，我也不要解释。解释了，他不相信；解释了，他不接受；解释了，他会说我掩饰；所以我选择沉默，让他努力地把罪名丢在我身上。

就让他继续…反正我习惯。有一天，他可能会发现错怪了我。

Motorcycle

School is far, driving a car will drain my wallet dry so I decided to buy a new motorcycle. I bought an EX5 Dream in pearl white colour. My friend’s father laughed at me for buying such an old model. I just like it because it is powerful rather than thinking about the looks. In addition, thieves are less interested in old models. It’s just transportation anyway, better than waiting for bus in the morning. Bought Toto number with the new plate number. Pooooh! RM6 vanished!

道歉启事

其实我这次转校很对不起你。当初一起来到这个陌生的地方，过后租了屋子，慢慢添购了很多的用品等等，生活过得挺舒服的。在突然的情况下，我宣布要离开，让你担心屋子的事。东西那么多，要你搬家也是一个大难题；不搬，找人住进屋子也是不容易。还好到最后终于有人住进去，免了搬家的大灾难。但我还是切断了电话线，网络服务，留下很多吃不完的干粮和长到拔不动的杂草。所以在此我想说：

Sorry oh~我也no choice~麻烦了

有机会请你喝茶吃东西补偿补偿…呵呵！

吃火锅

我其实不是很喜欢吃火锅。原因？直径一寸的鱼丸进了火锅出来就大了整整一倍。以此类归，吃一盘的火锅料理就等于吃了多一倍的分量，还要把那些上等汤喝到完。吃完火锅的感觉就像是饱涨到发毒誓这一生不再吃东西了。所以听到吃火锅我就会发抖一下说“到xyz那里吃比较好”

First Day in New School

I'll write my first field report of my new school after today's registration day and meeting. First of all, I'm teaching BM year 2&4, Chinese year 3 and Science year 1,4&5. All the subjects are brand new to me. But this was nothing, most disastrous thing is I'll be having 43 periods in one week. That is really a number i never saw before.

About my new school, SJKC Su Dok is located 16 km from Sarikei town which I'll use motorcycle to school everyday. There are around 30 students in the school and I'm the form teacher for year 3, total 8 students. One school headmaster, 5 colleagues and 4 more GSTT going to report in soon. My headmaster is okay, not bad, but i strongly believe that headmaster in this world are all long breath.

But now i'm kind of missing the systematic and structured management in Connaught 2 which were done in more professional manner. Things which i saw here is rather blur and not very systematic. I think it depends on the leader and the environment also. School with 30 students, what can i hope for?

One more thing, I'm really used to type my lesson plan. Now i have to write lesson plan, especially chinese words which i abandoned for so many years. No more marker pen also. Chalk will become my friend again, contaminating my lungs five days a week.

Then comes to money. My salary here is not much different but the extra income is extreamly, too much difference. Now, in Connaught 2, every 45 minutes i get RM40. Here, under Skim Baucer Tuisyen i only cost RM2.50 an hour. This is much worse then financial crisis. My "saham" drop from RM 40 an hour to RM2.50 an hour.

But anyhow, at least I'm back to the land where i belong. Nothing worth more than the fresh air and the greenish environment we had in Borneo. As i'm moving in to my house, so i won't be online for quite a while because my house is not connected with phone yet. After i had the phone line done, then i'll keep everyone informed again.
